Pushing the Wheel
What makes a wheel change its current position? Yes, we are going back to our joyful Physics class. A wheel can move forward with an applied force (push) or with an inclination where no force is needed because the inclination will force the forward movement naturally. The bottomline is that whether someone pushes the wheel forward or there is an inclination, both scenarios force the wheel to change from its current position. CHANGE is what drives growth in our life. If you are like the wheel, stuck in an undesirable state, you can either force the change yourself to create a positive momentum in your life or let the universe (i.e. the external force) force the change. When you choose the change, you have the upper hand because you have some degree of control of the path. However, when you let the universe force the change, it is typically when you have failed for a Long Time to listen to your intuition and the change comes as a tower moment unexpectedly in your life. Regardless, there are no wrong turns in life, there are only learning opportunities in your way to your destiny. Taoists believe that nature is in a constant state of flux and these changes followed a discernible orderly pattern (i.e. seasons, moon cycles, etc.). Hence, if you study nature and its patterns closely, you can apply the same principles to your life to be in complete harmony with the flow of the universe. When you are in flow with the universe, like the number 8, you will be in pure perfect balance (turn the 8 sideways and you get my favorite… infinite possibilities). Therefore, whether you force the wheel or let the inclination happen, make the best of that opportunity to drive you closer to your true calling. When you are changing, you, like nature, are growing and therefore living up to your highest true potential on Earth. But if you are unwilling to change and flow with the universe, you will be pushed out of the stagnancy to get the water flowing again. CHANGE is the ONLY constant variable in Life.
