Typewriter Series #2612 by Tyler Knott Gregson
Made art when I was younger,
on whatever canvas
I could get my hands on.
Blood was my paint then,
only mine, only after
injury that came out of the blue
and delayed my day.
I made art when I was younger,
called it the Accidentals
and watched as the red
turned to maroon,
the maroon to a deep brown
hue on the clean bone white.
Lost them all somewhere in
one of the moves, and I don’t
make this art anymore,
maybe I should, maybe it’s time
to put all that spills from me
to better use.
I just used to heal
so much faster.
