Connect the Bots! Robots and Artificial Intelligence in Hotels

EnRoute Magazine Air Canada May 2019 Lisa Niver's story Connect the Bots!Thank you to enRoute Magazine and Air Canada
for publishing my story:
Connect the Bots! Robot Travail!”

FIRST SPOTTED:

At The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Rose, the scintillating artificial intelligence chat bot can lead you on a graffiti art tour of the property by text message. She will educate you about the artists, answer questions about events and entertainment as well as share her knowledge about “secret pizza.”

WHY:

Erica Johnson, Director of Communications at Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas explains: “Waldorf Astoria and Hilton will always be a people-first industry.  We believe advances in robotics and artificial intelligence can be used to complement the award-wining service provided by our Team Members. Our robot, Pepper, enhances the guest experience by providing information on hotel features and amenities.” She can dance, pose for a selfie and tell a story.

Where ELSE:

At Waldorf Astoria in Beverly Hills, use Alexa voice commands to operate the shades, lights and order towels. Robots like H2M2 at Monville Montreal and Fetch and Jett at Vdara in Vegas created by Savioke in California can make room deliveries. Ask H2M2, the first hotel robot in Canada, to bring two full meals. Fetch’s most common delivery is coffee and can carry four hot cups at once as well as toothpaste, aspirin and snacks.
