A light shone

under my trees,

in the dark leaves,

somewhere and somehow.

This time, not from above

but from under and within a tree,

of all trees.

I have been watching

the oldest watch

on earth and I did not,

hear it.

So, I said

to myself

the same sound

after the rain

is probably nicer

than before dawn.
