**EVENT UPDATE** Writefest in Houston

One of my favorite literary events is coming up in Houston, May 27 – June 2. I’ve been involved with Writespace’s signature event Writefest since its inception a few years ago, and this year’s lineup looks to be the best ever. I HIGHLY recommend this event for new writers. Lots of great workshops, information sessions, and author round tables. There’s also a “crit group speed dating” session where new writers can connect with others who are looking for peers in their genre to trade feedback with.

Here’s my schedule:

Friday, May 31

11:30AM – 12:30PM – Science Fiction & Fantasy Round Table. Ask me and fellow author Charlotte Wyatt anything you want about writing in the SF&F genres.

1:30 – 2:30PM – Small Press vs Self-Publishing (panel discussion)

2:45 – 3:45PM – Writing Strange Fiction (panel discussion)

Saturday, June 1

4:00 – 5:00PM – Getting the Word Out Through Social Media
