What is your most useful tool?
An ability to futureproof your life in these times of vast acceleration, the capacity to navigate the edge of the unknown, would be most useful. It helps if you cultivate a practice of deep listening—an intentional quieting of the ego and those habitual past patterns which no longer fit. The result is an openness to a much richer, less obvious world of incomingness : the energy of a room, the connections between people, the things unsaid, the voices missing in a conversation, ideas that leap out like complementary colours. From there you start to sense what lies beneath the surface of things, behind the projections, obfuscations and covert turpitude which constitute the exhaustion of daily human interactivity.
