The Car

Good morning and welcome to Sunday Blog Share. This month, our focus will be on mysteries. Today, we’re talking about The Car, a mystery that moves between the present and the past, a crime that took nearly a century to solve.
The Roaring Twenties—a time of bathtub gin, of speakeasies, and a couple yearning to wed despite their families animosity toward each other. Mark and Belinda Sue attempt their escape, only to be thwarted in 1929. In 2017, Belinda Susannah makes a startling discovery, a 1929 Essex Coupe, once a sought after luxury car, with a tree growing out of it. What secrets does this car hold? Why is it abandoned along a rarely traveled road in the Sonoran Desert?

I walk along a dusty road. The school bus dropped me off a mere five minutes ago. No one else lives near the shell of the once thriving town of Martinsburg. No one knows for certain how anyone came up with the name of this burg. The area is currently an area of horse ranches and lots of desert scrub in the Sonoran Desert close to Tucson. They call this region Marana. It’s pretty nice, except for one thing.
About K.C. Sprayberry

Living a dream she’s had since she first discovered the magic of books. K.C. Sprayberry traveled the U.S. and Europe before finally settling in the mountains of Northwest Georgia. She’s been married to her soulmate for nearly a quarter of a century and they enjoy spoiling their grandchildren along with many other activities.
A multi-genre author, K.C. Sprayberry is always on the hunt for new stories. Inspiration strikes at the weirdest times and drives her to grab notebook and pen to jot down her ideas. Those close to her swear nothing or no one is safe if she’s smiling gently in a corner and watching those in the same room interact. Her observations have often given her ideas for her next story, set not only in the South but wherever the characters demand they settle.
