Please wish me luck on getting that elusive 1 star review.

I love 1-star reviews, so long as they actually contain a review. What I don't like are the 1-star drivebys on Goodreads, where they hit you with a star and speed off without even a "Disgusting!"
If you insist...Seriously, I'm glad that you have a good perspective on bad reviews. I've seen an author get upset with my review once. I gave his book 3 stars, a passing grade, and I was planning on buying one of his books from a different genre. Then he started quibbling with my review and I said to Hell with this.
What a great attitude, Graeme. And your absolutely correct. Sadly, I don't see me being one of those 1 star reviewers for you. Good luck on your marketing and those elusive 1 star reviews. BTW! I know I haven't asked in a while, but how is The Crane War going?

Two of my most useful reviews I received were 3 stars. The people who wrote them directly impacted my writing craft through their generous advice.
Jody wrote: "BTW! I know I haven't asked in a while, but how is The Crane War going?..."I'm running with smaller, sharper chapters this time, so ... Writing Status: The Crane War: Ch. 8 of 43 done. 24,572 words completed as of yesterday. Still targeting an ARC read beginning on the 1st of November. However I'm thinking of pushing the publish date back by three weeks to just before Christmas as my last ARC read (TDG) felt rushed. So, I would like to give the ARC 7 weeks instead of 4.
So, on time, momentum has begun to kick in. I've got 6 months to finish it and polish to the extent I can prior to the ARC read.
How do I feel about it - Awesome. Like The Dragon's Den for run on action, but with A Traitor's War level of intrigue, and The Day Guard level for polish and flow. I believe the book itself will be the longest I've written and hopefully the best yet.
