Plug It In!

If I said plug it in, plug it in would that break any copyright laws? Hmmm maybe I should let the cat do that with his claws. Not even the cat and still rhyming. Who knew I had such good timing. Power of words. Power to me. Let's power through before you get bored.

So for the IWSG here is the question to give a go:


What was an early experience where you learned that language had power?

Hmm I can think of a bunch and all of them are a tad bad. Taking words that were said normally, if normally is really a thing. Roll your eyes these days and it's a sin. See? No words and you still have power. Would that be a sort of power up? Goku eat your heart out. Who'd do that anyway? Wouldn't that be counterproductive? Unless one is suicidal. What? See? I have the power to make you think all kinds of weird things like me.

Back to it before I get a power down and shrink. Wait! It isn't winter. No worries there. I must have the power to finish this. I seem to be going off more than the cat. What do you think of that?

I took words and used them in many a way. Kids do. Some find it funny, some don't. Those that don't you can really tick off. Tick off the list of ever saying anything to again. Am I right? No?

Those people you learn pretty quickly that words have power as they go off in a huff or on a tangent about how you shouldn't say that. One such word I heard recently was crap. Yep, apparently crap is now a bad word. And guess what? I don't give a crap. Double whammy!

Would this mean that words only have power if you let them? Would it come back to you? Hmm, nope. We have to blame the dog atop the cat atop the flea who ate some poop and mooned a slug. Whoops. My power offended four animal species there. Look! They don't care. Score one for slugs. Suck it, humans.

I think I'm done. Was that rare? No rhyme confuse you? The power of change. I showed two powers today. Now if only invisibility would come due. Or maybe luck. That's a fine power too. And it isn't that rare, as I was blabbing on this way for three years or so at my other lair. The rhyme is creeping back in. I guess the cat wants his spin. He'll have to wait though. Oh, and before I go.

Anything else to say? Nah. I think I am through for today. Do words have power to you? Do you blame anyone but you? Are you still weirded out by this side of Pat?
