Camagüey’s Juan Pérez Pérez tossed the second of his three Serie Nacional de Beisbol no-hitters, 45 years ago today.
On Thursday April 25, 1974, at Estadio Guillermón Moncada in Santiago de Cuba, Pérez no-hit Oriente for a 1-0 win. Nine months later, after joining Ganaderos, Pérez no-hit the Citricultores to become the only Cuban pitcher to toss three no-hitters.
