Typewriter Series #2584 by Tyler Knott Gregson
Text for Tired Eyes:
See how I turn to you,
roll in and let my eyes close?
See the trust in this,
I do not know the way back out,
but still I come in.
See how I look up to you,
the way my eyes seek you out,
the cues I take on how
to navigate a moment,
survive a conversation?
Darting eyes, these, but
somehow they lock on you,
steady when I’m spinning.
If a dancer I was,
you, would be the point
I’d stare to, the only anchor
from dissolving into
dizziness.
