Or so I have been told :-) "Alles Van De Beste" (All the best), published in Wordsect Issue 6, is a short story inspired by my own trip up the Outeniqua mountains with my niece, nephew and two children. But no, it is NOT about my trip up with my niece, nephew and two children. Sorry to disappoint. It is about a woman caught in a cultural tug of war, both in location and language. (Oh wait, that still sounds like me. Errr...I'm not Afrikaans...nor am I childless...just trust me on this.) Back ...
