Fields and mountains

In the dark, a shepherd closed

his clothes straight, to his body.

He heard his sheep

and knew he already

had lost one,

of all the white ones.

In the high mountains,

no one was there; except for him.

He would be leaving early,

tomorrow morning,

because in the house nearby,

someone was needed; he knew.

So, he left, before Sunrise,

cold feet, warm clothes and on his way,

with all of his responsibility,

until in the late morning, he reached

the house. There he found her, low and alive,

waiting in the Sun.

His sheep gathered around the old tree,

a sound was not heard and he knew,

then, he left, just in time

in order to bow, grasp that one golden egg

in the green grass and lay it, in her basket

for Christmas because Easter,

it was just very old fashioned!
