Before midnight

My eyes were drowning,

drowning away.

I saw stories around me

that weren’t stories.

I always tried,

I am sharpened continually,

to make my quest,

one of a million,

and more.

My eyes closed on the left

and I knew then,

it was the unconscious knowledge,

that I could not remind you of what you,

all used to be.

What happened to you all?

I see changes all over in history,

cultures attached to each other

and driven apart.

In between of it all,

next aside to the stars in rivers,

this soul of a woman did not ask,

one question, but remained silent,

quiet and peaceful at her side of heaven!
