Tattered Cover Features Local Author

The Tattered Cover Book Store prominently features Denver author Sven Michael Davison's new Science Fiction Thriller "State of Mind."

(Denver CO, November 1, 2011)

Sven Michael Davison is proud to have his book in the "Rocky Mountain Authors" display in his hometown bookstore. "I remember going to The Tattered Cover as a kid and browsing the shelves with my older sister and parents. I loved how The Tattered Cover felt like an old house filled with tall wooden bookshelves and comfy chairs to read in. Given the beauty and diversity in Denver and Colorado as a whole, I feel the Rocky Mountain state had a big influence on making me who I am today. Local institutions like the Tattered Cover were a part of that experience."

Davison attended Montessori school in Arvada, grade school at East Ridge Elementary in Aurora, and then Dry Creek Elementary in what is now Centennial. He attended Campus Middle Unit for junior high school and graduated from Cherry Creek High School. He sang in a rock cover band that played the Denver Turnverein and the now defunct Fun Plex. Davison had films featured on KBDI, a public broadcast station in Broomfield back in the day.

"In an era when any person can crank out a book and publish it within a hundred hours or less, it's nice to know there are still establishments where a reader can browse for well-crafted tales in a friendly environment, such as the Tattered Cover." Davison adds.

"State of Mind" is a finalist and winner of two Dan Poynter's Global eBook Awards.
