You Can Teach An Old Dog New Tricks!
I was talking to mySisterthe other dayand I was happy to inform her that it was I who convinced ourFatherto start watchingForeign Programming.I told myDadthat it is a great way of seeing how people all over the world are alike,in so many ways, even though we all have our own cultural differences. His favoriteTVchannel now?It is NHK - Japan. So you can teach an old dog new tricks!I have been watching foreign programming doing it for years. From myMarch 9th, 2016 PostI Do More Than Watch Reruns Of Neon Genesis Evangelion - I Watch Dramas Too!
*****As a"Man of the World,"or really just a guy who sits in front of his television setand watchesTVshows from other countries, like Taiwan's"It Started With A Kiss,"Japan's"Crazy For You,"andCanada's"Little Mosque On The Prairie."Those are just a few examples. I find myself enjoying, how other countries seeAmericans.(I know, Canadians are Americans too!)I went to one of the video streaming sites out of Chinathat I know of,
(Video.qq) which I haven't been to for awhile, and I was kind of amazed by what I saw.The first thing that popped out at me was theSports Illustrated Swim Suit Issueadvertisement. Then I saw a picture ofThe Rock.Advertisements forGame of Throneson HBO,AMC's The Walking Dead, CBS'sCSI-Cyberand the Disney MovieZootopia. There were otherAmerican Moviesthat were being advertised, but I cannot readChinese, so I am not sure of their names. But the one that surprised me the most was another AMC Classic,Breaking Bad.Remember,Chinais a country where they execute drug dealers. This is aCommunist Countrywho,as I see it,is embracing our culture moreand more.I can't help but wonder, what are theHardline Communist Leadersthinking? They used to act just like the nut fromNorth Korea,Kim I Am So Fat Jong-un.If you are too young to remember on how they used to be, just ask any of the survivors from theTiananmen Square Massacre!
This is,Hoping This Is Making Our World A Smaller Place So Our Differences Become Less,Jim Hauenstein,
And,
“There's nothing more dangerous in life than not living.” - Walter White - (Breaking Bad)
