Hi Misty! Thanks for joining us today! Please share with us your favorite part of the writing process.

Hmm…I think it’s those last few chapters of each book, where the writing tends to flow freely and I’m completely immersed in the story. I thoroughly understand my characters (for the most part) and they seem to take over the book!

Yes! I know what you mean! You have several books set in the wilderness. What draws you to the untamed mountain setting?

I’ve always loved the peacefulness of country life, far away from the sights and sounds of civilization. I love the idea of having to make do with what’s around you, as well. Learning to survive and thrive on the gifts God gave us in nature. And the mountains… (sigh) Their amazing grandeur calls me in a way it’s hard to describe. That’s my happy place.
