After midnight

An hour after twelve o’clock,

strikes, in a minute.

In the silence

of the night

I’ll be there

breathing the Clock of All Clocks.

He looked me, in the eye,

right and straight, without effort.

It has all been in my special guidance,

to be chosen, every word and letter

in good attitude of complete responsibility.

Before 12 O’Clock, something happened.

She is an easy lover, all the way upon

and in her older days.
