Dedications.✨ One of my favorite things about publishing a book is having the opportunity to dedicate it to people I love. THE QUEEN’S RESISTANCE is dedicated to my grandparents. ✨ Some of you may know this about me already, but for the first 7 years of my life, it was just me and my mom until she got married and her husband adopted me. In addition to my mom’s awesome parents—my Oma and Opa—I also gained two more incredible grandparents from that adoption—Pappy & Grandmommy—who took me in like I had always been one of their own. I think that is why I am drawn to stories about family, and why it emerges so often in my writing. ✨ I also surprised my grandparents with this dedication right before RESISTANCE came out earlier this month.
