Three (Dull) Facts About Me

I always liked Miss Bates. One needn’t worry about lack of conversation with her about…

When I was little, I introduced myself as Cinderella Burger King. Later, I was Elrod Purple Clod.My mom is a writer, and my grandma is a voracious reader. She gave me my first writing journal when I was 7. I filled it with limericks.I’m an introvert who loves deep conversations/hates small talk and is often the first one out on the dance floor … and the first person to leave a party for home.

Okay, that’s enough about me.

How about you? What are your 3 things?

Sheila Majczan Three things about me. I write names for Bible study attendees in calligraphy...people love it. I also have a fame for making Polish Star ornaments (look it up on the Internet) and I sent some to your mother - way back. When I was still working I was known for making "Monkey Bread" and brownies. People always asked me to bring either one in for special occasions.

Three wonderful things, Sheila! And all three creative, too. I love how everything you mentioned brings joy to others.

Sheila Majczan That is sweet of you to say so. Thank you. Your writing abilities certainly bring JOY to me. We have a beautiful day here, sunny and 70 degrees. Hope all is well where you are in Ecuador.

J. King My Polish stars from you have been to South America and back and made two moves safely. Last week when dusting I accidentally bent the tip on one of the stars. I wanted to bawl. It did bend back so I spun it 180 degrees and all looks good again. They are in a crystal bowl on my shelf. I’m grateful you gifted them to me, Sheila. They are beyond lovely.

Sheila Majczan Glad you were able to "repair" that. And thank you for the compliment. I gave them out at the Bible Study several years and the choir took some to give out to the "shut-ins" they visited and sang to at Christmas time. I learned how to make those while a Girl Scout leader.

Haha! Thank you. It’s a great name to try to live up to!

I’m so glad it’s warming up there. Winter made the news too much this last season. Let’s hope your summer isn’t such a drama queen 😄 We’re enjoying summer right now (so long as we stay out of the intense sun. It’s a scorcher!)

message 7: by Sheila (new)

Sheila Majczan Last summer we had very hot weather and also lots of rain. They say that the NE USA is going to be undergoing some changes with this climate change thing. I stay out of the sun. One reason is I take medication which warns that it makes a person more susceptible to sunburn.

Because I don't celebrate the holidays I can leave my stars out all year. They are beautifully made, Sheila.

Sheila Majczan Yes, you did tell me that and I appreciate that you found a way to enjoy them. Some use them as gift decorations. My sister-in-law hangs them in her china cabinet year round.
