Lilo Except for memoirs, I absolutely prefer to read and write in third person.

As with just about everything, there are, of course, exceptions. It never bothered me that "Lolita" was written in first person.

We have a friend who simply refuses to read any fiction that's written in first person. Last year, he accidentally bought such a book. He was profoundly annoyed and gave the book away without reading it.

Yep, there are a lot of people who prefer third person. I'm not sure why but I was one of those people for a long time. Now I'm okay with either.
