Adina This was an excellent and novel talk on value, perception, and reality. I would LOVE to hear an expansion on this, esp. since you have been thinking about it for 30 years! Also, I am VERY curious about what makes going to a musical concert different than storytelling. You touched on it but didn't get into it.

I can say for myself that when I attended classical musical concerts recently that during the event, memories of childhood emerged. I used to listen to classical music as a kid and would imagine these beautiful landscape and green fields... I would imagine being a dancer... it was kind of like creating my own story. After the event, I felt in harmony with this enormous unity within myself.

I imagine that the type of music makes a difference. When I attended Mozart's Requiem, it was as if I was being born, living, and dying in a complete cycle. I don't cry easily... even the men were driven to tears.

I am curious what research indicates as well as your take on attending musical concerts.
