So Ive been dabbling in the thought of getting a persephone poem tattooed on me for a couple years now, and i was wondering if you had any favourites? I spend 30 mins scrolling in my liked posts and i think my favourite one got deleted and im mad lol

Ah nuts.

I mean, you can’t go wrong with Edna St. Vincent Millay’s poem:

Be to her, Persephone,

All the things I might not be;

Take her head upon your knee.

She that was so proud and wild,

Flippant, arrogant and free,

She that had no need of me,

Is a little lonely child

Lost in Hell,—Persephone,

Take her head upon your knee;

Say to her, “My dear, my dear,It is not so dreadful here.”
