In this issue, adorned by a beautiful image of Maha Prajapati Gautami, the first Buddhist nun, as depicted in one of our Temple murals, Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo offers her regular update on the happenings at DGL. There is a report on her very successful visit to New York in June which included the launch of her new book, Into the Heart of Life. Features on the DGL nuns include a profile of one of our nuns, Ani Lobsang Dolma, other articles include visits to His Holiness the Karmapa's Temple and the younger nuns visit to a local swimming pool – for most, their first experience of swimming and their smiling faces confirm that they enjoyed the experience. The articles which are written by the nuns themselves are a very valuable opportunity for them to develop their English skills. They gain great confidence in seeing their words in print.

Jetsunma's new book, along with a new CD of the nuns chanting the CHOD practice are now available through the DGL shop, also profiled in this issue.
