White Lion Learns to Dance
The Strange & Unusual Universe of Silver Moon Unicorn
Silver Moon decided it was time to take a break. She picked up her tablet computer and took it off the trolley with her. White Lion was outside sitting on the grass watching butterflies. He looked up when she arrived. She set the tablet down on the grass and turned on some music. Then she started dancing.
White Lion watched his mama flitting around. He didn’t know if she was any good at what she was doing, but it didn’t matter. He jumped up and tried to imitate what she was doing. He loved to watch his mama and try to do what she did. He never cared if he did a perfect imitation.
They danced in the meadow while a big black wolf wandered in the woods nearby. The wolf was lost and a long way from his original home. He kept wandering around hoping he would find his way someday. No such luck. Then he saw her. A fair skinned, dark-haired elf with brilliant green eyes. The world stopped and all he saw was her. He saw her smiling and laughing in the sunshine. Her long hair flowing in the breeze. When he watched her, he knew he wouldn’t be able to get away from her. He wouldn’t be able to say no to her. He just wanted to be with her for the rest of his life.
The wolf blinked. She was still dancing. Then he noticed a tiny neko dancing with her. They were spinning around, laughing. Sometimes they were holding hands as they were spinning. The wolf wondered how the two came together.
“Mama, that was fun! What is that called? What we were doing?”
“Dancing. I can’t say I’m very good at it, but it is fun.”
“Dancing? I love it! I should like to do that more often.”
“You can dance as much as you like, dear.”
The wolf heard every word. He hoped the elf didn’t already have a partner.
Soon the neko started dancing again by himself. Silver Moon sat down on the grass to enjoy the breeze.
