An old acquaintance

An old acquaintance

It was the best book,

that ever got into my hands.

It was Friday night,

before Sunday morning

and I did not hear

the sound of a clock.

I looked outside of my window

and watched there, some clouds

in a bright dark sky.

At that moment,

I lost my mind.

What did I see?

Pages in my book, old and yellow

were still the same

but an old acquaintance touched

feather light rose Crystal glasses

which turned in rose parchment.

Still, no sounds

I could hear,

a deep breath

taken far away

is the testimony.
