I love the idea of watching movie trailers before writing. Every time the trailers come on when I'm at the movies I feel inspired to write. But I thought it was just me!!! So thanks for the great tip! I'm definitely going to start doing that. THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT is on my TBR pile! Can't wait to read it!
As a teacher, I continue to learn with every lesson taught! We do tons of reading, and my students are always asked by visitors to our classroom, and their parents alike, “What’s the theme of the story?” It is only within the last few years, that I’ve been able to tell them, “Until we see what happens with (character)— how they’ve changed via their experiences, we won’t really know!” At two-thirds to three-quarters of the way thru now, they’ll smile and nod and say they think they have an idea about the message, the lesson, the theme of their books! Journaling away, their characters become friends... I totally love you comment on Gardner’s compass points.
