Rebecca I am giddy with excitement! Getting my cup of chai and sitting down to read it now. I suspect there will be no sleeping tonight.

It's Me - Yvette I will start it tomorrow. Why oh why can't I be independently wealthy? I'd love to be off tomorrow to curl up and read all day, but then my kids would starve!

message 3: by Cherise (new)

Cherise Sinclair Thanks, Rebecca, Virginia, & Yvette. But behave and get your sleep and go to work...then read, okay? {Hugs}

message 4: by Yogi (new)

Yogi I'm waiting for this to come out on Kindle and then I'll be all over it!! I checked yesterday and today, but it's not up there yet.

The Kindle version is up on Amazon. Not sure if this link will work but:

ETA - It's awesome!

message 6: by Nikki (new)

Nikki Been waiting for this, and yes Master Sam should definitely get his own book, your heroes and heroines aren't into impact/pain play enough for my tastes (minor gripe as the writing is great, best I've found in the genre). I'll be buying it as soon as Amazon have it, can't wait months for the paperback. Good news for you though Cherise, LOL, because I'll buy the paperback as well when it comes out as I haven't got an ereader and I don't like to do much reading on my PC ;o)

Sara Loved, loved, loved it! you do such a wonderful job with sumissives who have issues without making them whiny and wimpy. And then there was Linda...finally a sub my age and build! please tell me we'll see more of her. So sorry to finish and have to wait and wait for another book!

message 9: by Sara (new)

Sara @Saetana: I'm all stiff and sore now from reading the whole thing on my PC in chunks throughtout the day. I will also be getting the paperback when it's out. Worth the extra money.

message 10: by Mary (new)

Mary My friend so hooked me on this series VERY well done Cherise!

message 11: by Halloweenbaby (new)

Halloweenbaby i am waiting for the barnes and noble nook ebook. I hope it'll be available soon. i am chomping at the bit!

message 12: by Sharon (new)

Sharon What a wonderful reead. I begin late last night and finished it just now.
This series just keeps getting better and better. Lets wait whats in stall for Sam,Sally,Kouros and buchanan :-)))
thank you Cherise

message 13: by Cherise (new)

Cherise Sinclair Thanks, y'all! I'm so glad you're enjoying it!
TravelingGal-thanks for the link. :-)

Darn it, I knew I should never let Master Sam push his way into those scenes. *hitting head on keyboard* Yes, he'll probably have to get a book. It might be fun to torture him a little. Heheheh.

Halloweenbaby, I'm afraid that Loose Id, my publisher, usually waits 2 months before sending a book to the distributors. This month they were testing simultaneous releases, but just with Amazon & Sony. Sorry! :-( But it you don't want to wait, you can download the epub version from Loose-id.com and copy it over to your Nook. Again, I'm sorry. I *hate* waiting for books, too.

Annie Virginia wrote: "I'm a 1/3 way through and I freakin' love Rauol. He's making a good run at possibly beating Nolan as my fave dom.

I just finished it! It is amazing. Nolan is still my fav though.

message 15: by Nikki (new)

Nikki I'm about 40% of the way through and, for an erotic romance, I'm finding it more horrifying than anything else, I winced most of the way through it so far. I loved Beth's book, its one of the best of the series but did we really need another story about an abused submissive (far far worse at that, at its heart Beth's story was one of domestic abuse which is unfortunately common)? I'll reserve final judgement until I've finished but so far there has been nothing either erotic or romantic about the book unfortunately. Aside from the abuse, its partly I totally dislike the idea of Master/slave relationships (consensual) in any event, I've heard and read real horror stories about women who have had trouble getting out of an initially consensual relationship like that, for me anyone who wants a fulltime slave is a control freak, they may (or may not) be dominant as well but its something that sits badly with me and I did not expect Raoul to fall into this category from the bits about him in previous books. I'm just hoping by the time I finish the book that they settle in a far more common Master/sub relationship but its not looking that way at the moment.

message 16: by Laura (Kyahgirl) (new)

Laura (Kyahgirl) This is your best one yet! I loved it!
You very skillfully balanced the dark and the light in this book.

message 17: by *Nan* (new)

*Nan* I am loving this book and hope you will write Sam's story! Also I loved this test with the simultaneous release for Kindle. I hope Loose ID decides to do this with your future releases!

message 18: by Cherise (new)

Cherise Sinclair Saetana, I'm sorry this book didn't work for you and I appreciate that you let me know why. I know I can't please everyone, but it's nice to know what isn't working. Thank you for your honesty.

message 19: by Cherise (new)

Cherise Sinclair Thanks, Laura, Nan, Annie, and Virginia! I'm delighted you enjoyed the story.

And looks like next year will have two Shadowlands, one for Sam, and one for the FBI agents...and Sally if the chemistry continues strong between them. :-)

message 20: by Annie (new)

Annie OH.. I would love for Sally to be with the FBI agents! That just seems so right. :)

message 21: by Laura (Kyahgirl) (new)

Laura (Kyahgirl) oh boy, can't wait for next year's books!

message 22: by *Nan* (new)

Yay! Suspicions confirmed....I hope Sally gets a dom of her own. She has so much fire and I really hope one of the FBI agents can master her! Thanks for all your hard work and great writing.

message 24: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer Probst Yay! I have been eagerly awaiting this book and ripped through this series sooo fast!! I guess you can't write them fast enough for fans - lol! big contrats - buying now!

message 25: by Michele ~ la Smoocherina (last edited Dec 03, 2011 01:02PM) (new)

Michele ~ la Smoocherina I agree with Virginia! I want Sam's story too. I'm interested to see how you'd do a S/m story. I love TC&C! I thought it was really well done! I can't imagine the protection a natural submissive would need to feel in order to be ok. I love Raoul, who up until now, just seemed like a hardass. Really, he is incredibly sweet. I like how you explored his need to dominate having it's roots in watching his brother's death. Very well done! Kudos!

One thing- does Ari get to come to Raoul's? I pictured her asking him if she could keep him. I think he'd let her keep him, since it makes her happy.

Great job Cherise!
Michele

PS-what about the FBI Doms? They need a story too! :)

message 26: by Nikki (new)

Nikki I'll comment again when I've finished the book, I've left it a couple of days due to lack of time and to get some of the earlier scenes out of my head. Hopefully I'll enjoy the rest of the book more, and I'd still like to see Sally and Master Sam get their own books (not the same one, lol), I prefer my D/s with more S&M as a rule but I still really enjoyed all the other books in the series ;o)

message 27: by Beatrix (new)

Beatrix I like this series, Cherise Sinclair is fantastic author.

message 28: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn Loved it so much. I can't get enough of this series, just wish there was a new book out every week :D

Michele ~ la Smoocherina Annie wrote: "OH.. I would love for Sally to be with the FBI agents! That just seems so right. :)"

Oh! I like that idea. The one with the cane. Kouros. Or both! Lil

message 30: by Carin (new)

Carin Absolutely loved this book! I thought you did a great job with helping Kim through her ordeal in a way that fit her character. And, Raoul was fantastic. My favorite so far is Marcus and Gabi - perhaps because it was the first book in the series that I've read? - regardless, they hold a special place on my literary shelf. I so enjoy how you provide updates to lives of other characters - it is what makes the series so enriching for me. I have to second EricJacobLover's question - what happens to Ari? :)

I too felt a little disappointed that we will have to wait and see what happens with Sam and Linda. And, yes, I would very much like to see a book for Sally. She's been such an integral part of the Shadowlands that I do think it's time for her to find her dom.

Great job!

message 31: by Kelly (new)

Kelly Cherise wrote: "...And looks like next year will have two Shadowlands, one for Sam, and one for the FBI agents...and Sally if the chemi..."

Cherise -

I loved, loved, loved TC&C. It was really great! I really liked how Raoul helped Kimberly deal with her trauma and helped her to heal.

Although I liked Raoul, Nolan and Marcus are still my favorite doms. :)

I am soooo excited that there will be two Shadowlands books next year. Please, please, please keep the Shadowlands series going. I just love reading about these amazing characters.

message 32: by Cherise (new)

Cherise Sinclair Thanks, everyone! I'm so glad you're enjoying the Shadowlands.

Yes, Galen and Vance want Sally, and they like to share...but I never know how things will work out until the story starts to unfold. No guarantees. :-)

You know, Michele and Carin, I actually started to write an epilogue for TC&C, just to show Ari figuring out that Raoul is Alpha in the household (essential in a D/s household ) But once the pecking order is established, Ari adores having two humans administering belly-rubs. Fur-babies--you gotta love'em. :-)

message 33: by Laura (Kyahgirl) (new)

Laura (Kyahgirl) Thanks for the insights Cherise. I'm sure Kim could never have left Ari behind!

Any chance that Sam could go for a visit to Dark Haven and meet up with Linda there? I heard she left Tampa :-)

message 34: by HeatherTX (new)

HeatherTX Good lord....all of these out loud thoughts and discussions for what might be store for Sally, Sam, Galen and Vance can sure make a girl's head swim with the possibilities. :)

And the stories just keep getting better....IMO at least.

I'm still partial to Z, Marcus and Raoul though.

message 35: by Pyper (new)

Pyper Diangelo O-O Amazing! Loved it! Human Salvery, is a very real issue we don't like to read or talk about. I love how you brought all the feelings to light

message 36: by Cherise (new)

Cherise Sinclair Laura, I'm not sure why, but the thought of My Liege Xavier and Master Sam in the same club makes me nervous. LOL

Thanks, Heather and Pyper!

Cherise,

Maybe you need more sick days! After all, look where the last one led you. In all seriousness, I had hoped to see Sally find someone to stop that topping from the bottom problem. I suppose it's unrealistic to write one for EVERY person there, but if you stop, we will miss them. Perhaps once a year you could do something like the DarkHavens to keep us updated.

message 38: by Cherise (new)

Cherise Sinclair Nooo, not every person! LOL
For the Dark Haven books, looks like Xavier has pushed in front of Master Sam, and I don't argue with My Liege. Ever. ;-)

message 39: by BookAddict (new)

BookAddict ✒ La Crimson Femme I loved the book. My favourite one of the 6 so far. I'm so glad I'm not the only one who wants a menages with Sally and the Feebees. hehhehe. My review has to wait until it's approved. :( I hope it's approved soon. I've also purchased a copy in addition to my review copy because I loved the book so very much. You are amazing.

message 40: by ~Mel :)~ (new)

~Mel :)~ Oh Yes, I menage is due for SURE! The only other thing missing from this series that I'm interested in reading is some sadistic SM:) but Sam should provide that for us.

I could use about a hundred or so more Cherise books, if you'd be so kind as to get to work on that straight away I would be ever so thankful... :D Joking of course. Well kinda....

Your amazing! I love you! and your books too:D

message 41: by Shannon (new)

Shannon Loved the book! Nice fitting story for Raoul and Kim. I finished the book for the second time today, and I do have a question: Did the spotter for the Harvest Association at the Shadowlands get picked up or is he still in action?

As much as I've grown to love Master Sam, I cannot *wait* for Korous and Buchanan and Sally!

Still in action! that bugger needs to be caught. We never had that thread resolved. What if it is a woman? O_o And someone they trust!!!

Nuts! I hope Sam's story digs out the identity of the spotter. I thought it was established by the use of pronouns that the spotter was male, but a woman would be a really interesting twist! And I know! What if it *is* someone they trust? ::shivers::

She's going to come looking for him...like a cat in heat. HAH.

message 47: by ~Mel :)~ (new)

~Mel :)~ Yeah, I can see that. But not him looking for her. I am sure however it is played out it will be wonderful and believable. She's just that good. I hope that bad guy in the Shadowlands is NOT someone trusted. That would be heartbreaking. *sigh* we have what 6 books worth of reading invested. NO PRESSURE Cherise. I know you will do perfect:D

I kind of hope it is someone we trusted but on the fringe. Then Master Sam can take a strip out of his/her hide. HAHA.

Shannon ~Mel :)~ wrote: "But how is he going to find her if she took off? I doubt he is going to pull a stalker move. It wasn't THAT much of a connec..."

After she told him not to contact her, Sam told her his name and that she could find him at the Shadowlands if she wanted to contact him.

This is what I was thinking would happen. It's pretty clear that the Masters and their subs at the Shadowlands are uniformly disgusted and horrified about Kim's slavery, and pissed that the spotter is in "their" club. It'd have to be someone on the fringes.
