Here's how I rate books:
1 star--A terrible read. Either couldn't finish or was completely dissatisfied upon finishing. Found story to be poorly written and uninteresting.
2 stars--A bad read. I finished reading it, but it was a chore. Story wasn't my cup of tea or not very well done.
3 stars--A good read. Maintained my interest enough to finish and want to know what came next but was either bored multiple times or didn't enjoy how events played out.
4 stars--A great read. If it's a series I will definitely continue reading. Characters, plot, and themes are well developed.
5 stars--A wonderful read. I loved the book. Essentially the same as 4 stars, except finishing it made me feel like a different person. I want to re-read it in the future, and recommend the book to anyone.
