Swallowing liquids the wrong way

I've discovered that tension can build up around my throat in such a way that it's become easy for liquids to go down the wrong pipe. Part of this is due to the head injuries I discussed in "Opposing Gravity". I became concerned when a belly laugh turned into a deep, gutteral cough and felt it might be due to what I'd swallowed.

Part of the problem was me sitting at an angle while drinking so that my spine was rotated a little instead of facing straight, and part of it was that something was amiss with the esophagus. I then discovered that drinking a little (one drop) of oil of oregano with a few ounces of water cleared up my lungs so that the cough was gone.

I'm also working on the tiny muscles surrounding the esophagus and connections further down to see how to straighten out this tube.
