Hey, Pat! I know you're probably sick of this question by now but... I'm dying to know if this year is the year. You know what I mean? Greetings from Mexico!!

Discovered Worldbuilders by listening to your interview on Tea and Jeopardy, Pat. Really awesome work you guys are doing. The regimes can't steal knowledge!

Why hasn't GRRM finished A Song of Ice and Fire? Because then the story would end before networks like HBO could milk every last drop. So why hasn't Patrick finished Kingkiller? Because Lionsgate and Showtime didn't drink from the teet yet. https://www.newsweek.com/kingkiller-c...
Greetings from a yooper living in Germany! Glad to hear you're doing well. Can't believe one of my favorite authors lives just a few hours from my hometown. The pictures from your last blog reflect the scenario in the yoop pretty well right now, too...
I don't understand, if the series was originally written as one long story, then broken apart, how dang many years does it take to work the last book into a standalone? Been so long since I've read the others I've almost forgotten the story.

Been so long since I've read..."Most book series aren't written fully before the first one has been released. These books are Huge, having years in-between isn't unheard of. He shouldn't release it unless he's satisfied with it himself. I would also like it to come out tomorrow morning, but I can wait for a great story. Pat's tough on himself, I don't think we need to be nit-picky about release dates here of all places. It's going to take some time, once you come to terms with that and find other books to read, it becomes bearable.
Don't think book 3 is going to happen at this point. Internet speculation, TOR re reads and that kind of deep analysis of the first 2 books have pulled the rug from underneath him by this point I reckon. All his secrets have already been discovered, discussed and analysed albeit unwittingly under the banner of speculation. The dangers of book clubs with participants numbering in the thousands unfortunately. (All IMO of course).
