Mars

The Strange & Unusual Universe of Silver Moon Unicorn

(From Silver Moon Unicorn’s notes.)

There is some debate as to who used to live on Mars before humans colonized it. Some speculated that humans came from Mars and moved to Earth when they knew it was no longer habitable for life. Others claim it was an alien civilization. I guess we won’t know for sure now. But I digress.

Mars, when colonized by humans, was a cold desert planet. The humans did what they could to warm up the planet by using the greenhouse effect. They also added water and thickened the atmosphere to increase the oxygen content of the air. Some people of note, Lizette Mueller, Sarina, and Jaekob Lutin, have lived on Mars. In fact, we know the three of them met after they signed up for military jobs on the same day. Unfortunately, those jobs didn’t last long for any of them, but they did make it to our solar system and became Guardians. They taught the Guardians a lot about humans and their solar system. Most of our knowledge came from them and their computer banks as well.

One person of note, Violet Mineur, was born and raised on Mars. Her dairy entries describe life in the colony. She watched the moons at night with her glasses. Violet didn’t have 20/20 vision, but being born on Mars didn’t allow her access to surgery. However, her glasses had a small computer attached to them. She was able to do many things with those glasses. Interestingly enough, Violet’s mother was a water nymph. I’m not sure how water nymphs ended up on Mars, but she was there. Violet’s inheritance from her mother was her ability to breathe under water. She couldn’t drown. Violet was reputed to have met a famous wizard named Merlin who taught her to use magic. I can’t confirm or deny that, but I will look into further.

Not sure about the Martian colony after the humans came here. I wonder if we will be able to communicate with those people or if their solar system is just an alternate universe of ours.
