Every time you mention nutrition, allow me to respond as such: go vegan, and you'll see the positive results in no time: bloodwork, weight, fitness, overall health, mortality risk - and conscience. I know, I am a missionary, but I cannot stay silent when you - and rightly so - complain about obvious deficits in your nutrition.

Well first off don't you feel silly for not ordering enough books considering you had to know how many of us are dying to buy it? And could the weight gain be from when you hurt your leg? you quit walking right? I hope you're healed up. I am not a big fan of fasting, I think you are better off to eat some protein and move about as much as you are able to without pain.
At least we all survived January right?
Well I'm not one to tell anybody to go against their doctor's advise but since you already tried the fasting and it isn't helping... I still say eat! at least 2 meals a day, mostly protein. I am not one of those "no carb" people but I have lost some weight just from giving up my morning OJ and having only once slice of toast with my scrambled egg instead of 2 slices for breakfast.

I didn't get a YA vibe from the blurb at all. It's been likened to Firestarter and It, and I don't consider either of those YA even though the stars are kids.Keep on keeping on with your dietary changes. I expect once you're mobile again you'll see better results if you stick with it. There's only so much you can do when you're forced to be sedentary. I'm glad to see none of this is getting you down.
