What's the IQ of the Christian Right?
Bob Vander Plaats's statist-warmongering Iowa "family" group will not endorse moral leader Ron Paul. As BVP awkwardly put it, "The stumbling block for the board regarding Representative Paul dealt primarily with 'States' Rights' as it pertains to the sanctity of human life and God's design for marriage."
That is, marriage--which antedates the State and has been attacked and devalued by the State--should be run by the State. Ron's position is that marriage is for the Church, not the State, and should not be nationalized, or run by government at any level. But if government is involved, it should be decentralized. Does Vander Plaats really believe the FBI should be in charge? My guess is that, like virtually every pro-life leader (but kill the Muslim unborn), he is simply a shill for the Republican party. These issues are raised at election time and then ignored until the next "advance auction of stolen goods," as Mencken defined an one of these vicious political festivals.
