Counting Up Blessings On a Rainy Night

Tonight I decided to step out from behind my writer's desk in my writer's nook at my writer's abbey. No books, no plugs, no nothing. It's just me here. I could be somewhere dangerous and wet and cold. But I'm not. That's a good thing.

I could also be hungry. But I'm not. That's another good thing. I could not have any books to read. But I do have books. Mark yet another good thing. That tallies up to a lot of good things.

Tomorrow will be the busiest travel day of the year. That's a lot of motion out there. Folks are determined to get together with their families. But take it easy and be safe. It's not a race. We'll all get to where we're going sooner or later.

But let's get back to those blessings: the original point to this post. One of my most cherished blessing is to write books along with all the other important ones. Thanks for reading my writing, too.

Sure. Remember when you read books under the sheet with a flashlight turned on? Hardy Boys were my favorites back then.

Michele bookloverforever Nancy Drew...or just about any fiction book, to tell the truth. Read way ahead of my age group from the beginning. and read fast even then. always lost my place in reading class because I was at the end of the story while the rest of the class was on chapter 3.
