A look in to Sari...
Hello Loves and welcome back to Inside the Nation. This week I want to talk a little about Sari, the main character of my upcoming book The Chronicles of Sari: Asylum. This will be the fourth book in the Sari chronicles and I love it as much as the first.
When I came up with the concept of Sari I wanted a strong female character that kicked a lot of ass and loved every minute of it so I made her a hunter. I didn't want her to be a typical hunter that worked primary alone or that only hunted werewolves and vampires. I also wanted her to have a family unit of some sort, to have people that she could rely on during a hunt or to help her out with the lore of what she is hunting. Sari's parents were both hunters. Her mother Lillian raised Sari alone after her father Alaric died before Sari was born. Sari also has a lore and weapons expert, Ingrid, that helps her out whenever she is needed. Although Sari is a hardass and loves her solitude, she has a partner in life and in hunting, Dominic. In Were-, the first Sari book, she inherited a pack of wereleopards after killing their Alpha so she is well secured in her family circle.
It was important to me to make her world one that knew of the supernatural, I didn't want her hunting in the dark or on the sly and no one knows that there are monsters out in the world. I made it so that when the police are up against something supernatural they call in Sari to deal with it. When things get messy and they always do, the police force also has a clean-up team to deal with the mop up after Sari kills the big bad. I wanted it to be as realistic as a book about a supernatural hunter could be.
So in short, Sari is a hunter who lives in Indianapolis. She has a great support system with her mother, her partner Dom, her pack, and her weapons expert Ingrid. She has made a promise to protect the people of Indy from all things supernatural and she loves her job. Although Sari's attitude could use a little adjustment, her heart is always in the right place. She has gone up against weres-, vampires, Reapers, and a djinn in order to keep her city safe. I will have more posts about Sari over the next month until her book release on 2.21.19. I hope you enjoyed learning a little bit about her and always I wish you Happy Reading!
