Happy (belated) new year!
It seems I got through to the other side without soo much trouble even though New Year's Eve is one of my least favourite days of the whole year. Anyway, this time around I was down with some kind of deranged flue that had employed a tiny cricket to jump around inside my head with clogs on his feet, just to enhance the already dubious pleasure of the experience.
Still, I lived to see the fireworks from my mum's balcony at midnight and they were spectacular!
Now on a different note, I am storming into 2019 like a demon on a mission. A mission to complete The Missing Shield series, a mission to get more involved, more targeted, more streamlined and efficient. Well, we'll see 'bout all of that of course - but I got down to writing today and that felt great (particularly because it had been a while (read: 3 months). Sometimes you just need a break though, and I think mine worked wonders for my enthusiasm.
So what's the plans?
Well, I have just commissioned a map of Zanzier City. I am excited about that - mostly because this was one job that I swore I'd do myself and it gradually became clear that I really never would. ;-) Now I don't have to and I know Doug Turner will do a grand job of it, so win:win!
Also, I am in the process of doing a little promo for my numerous characters, so with this in mind, watch this space as I roll them out one at a time soon.
Apart from that I have become quite taken with a eMagazine project called Mum's Favorite Reads and I'd love you all to take five to check it out because it really is different and great for busy people. Oh, and did I mention that it's free? :-)

Last, but least, I have a couple of interviews and quirky appearances line up - one in the shape of one of my villains, who been invited to speak out loud!
And later I will be featuring a very yummy recipe in a cookbook for Mum's Favorite Reads, too - so busy days ahead!
