Happy New Year!

Hoping everyone had a great Christmas and a wonderful New Year. My wife and I had a super one in Arctic Norway - plenty of snow, torch lit hikes, an over night stay in a mountain hut, and of course, too much food! Unfortunately - or perhaps fortunately? - now the party is over and we are back to reality. A reality which in my case includes have to loose a kilo or two, putting up with Brexit - yes, it is still dragging on! - and trying to get The Ghost Moth finished - why does editing take so long?

Thanks to Nicole and Kathryn for their lovely 5 star ratings and review for The White Hart The White Hart (The Red Grouse Tales) by Leslie W.P. Garland
to Kevin Pfeifle for his super 5 star review of The Little Dog The Little Dog (The Red Grouse Tales) by Leslie W.P. Garland
and to Mary Nieberg-Berry for her 4 star review and M.Inks for her 5 star review of The Golden Tup The Golden Tup (The Red Grouse Tales) by Leslie W.P. Garland

Please do keep your reviews coming in, both here on Goodreads and on Amazon. Oh yes, and don't forget to tell your friends as well!

As for my reading, I had been having a go at Machiavelli's 'The Prince', but as it is more of a non-fiction reference book than a novel, but wanted a bit of a change and so started on Hermann Hesse's 'The Glass Bead Game' over the Christmas break. It certainly is an intriguing book.

One of the plusses of having a break is that of giving one's mind time to relax and so to spark off on new ideas. I mentioned earlier that editing takes longer than one would wish. However, one of the reasons that it does is that one gets new ideas on aspects of the story, new slants on events within it, etc. OK, these are not major changes, but do add extra colour to the tale, greater insight into characters thinking and motivations, and generally enrich the story. Well, I hope they do!

Please do follow me on Twitter https://twitter.com/LeslieWPGarland as this is the surest way of keeping bang up todate on free book and discounted deals. Although I have a page on Facebook, I no longer use it, so I am afraid 'friending me' on Facebook will be a waste of your time (as I found Facebook a waste of my time!) And the books? All titles are FREE on Kindle Unlimited and most of the individual tales are only $/£ 0.99 each. All can be found on; https://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_...
