The first chapter of A Shot at Us

Back in October I decided I’d try to write my mom a novel in time for her Christmas present. She’s been the biggest fan of my romance novel Forever and Farewell, so I wanted to write something along those lines. I had a plan early this year for a novel inspired by It’s a Wonderful Life, and decided now was the perfect time to dust that idea off and polish it up.
