Still Forgiving (There’s so much to forgive!)
Of course I need to do it mostly for myself. But what a load of personal responsibility is lifted when I realize that the power I call ‘God’ holds nothing against me or anyone! Forgiveness is a reflection of loving myself enough to move on. It’s always my choice, and choosing to blame anyone for anything is self inflicted suffering. (Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional.)
Forgiving doesn’t have to mean I welcome the ‘forgivee’ as a friend. It simply means the cause of my pain, sadness or disappointment is now charge neutral, just another memory. I can now use the energy to move on to something more useful and beneficial.
