A couple of things, actually. For one, the audiobook for Blood Circus was released last week. And, Blood Scent and Blood Circus are (finally) available in paperback format.

Also, I’m working hard on Book 8 in the Colin McCool series, in the hopes I can finish it by the end of the year. No promises, but that’s my current plan.

Donald oddly enough Colin was what lead me from the end of Iron Druid to eh beginning of Nate Temple. Colin always reads something like Harry Dresden attitude in Iron Druid story line. and with Butcher leavng me hanging on BOTH of his current series (seriously its been 3 years since the first cinder spires book i wish he would stop fooling around and WRITE). i might be a bit biased though as a TExan but i really like the austin setting

Colin is a little whiny...but if you don't have room for personal growth then he becomes a 1 dimensional character and the story wont be any fun to read (though if he doesn't at least deal with the Jesse situation in next next book i might have a meltdown)

Colin's mentor though reminds me far too much of Ebenezer in the dresden series and i wasn't too fond of him either (i feel that Hearn dealt better with the problems of being 2000 years old and still vaguely mortal better but it was for the central character so without dealing with it the story would have flopped).

in the end though the Junkyard Druid chronicles leave me wanting more when i reach the end and that's all i am ever after in a book or series

M.D. Massey Thanks for the kind words, Donald! Yeah, Colin does have that emo thing going on, but he's 20 and has the world on his shoulders, so give him time to grow a little. He will be dealing with "the Jesse situation" in Book 8, and handling some other internal housekeeping chores as well. Thanks again for taking a chance on the series!
