Wrong. It means you’re human, and humans forget things. In fact the human brain forgets millions of times more information than it will ever remember. It’s a defense mechanism that keeps us from becoming overloaded with junk, like the spam folder on an e-mail account you outgrew. It’s natural to forget things. Good, even. Just don’t let it hurt your writing.
