I've been on a binge...

I told you guys when I was done with PUSH, I would make my way through my TBR, right?

Well, guess what. I did.

I saw something on Twitter... An author giving advice to new authors. And one thing she advised was to read. Nonstop. She said the best way to make yourself better is to read other people's works, and then of course write.

I took that advice to heart. In the past couple weeks I've read more and faster than I have in years. I've been plowing through eBooks like Oreos, and because the world of fiction is a constant Niagara Falls of new releases, I'm nowhere near done.

I have enjoyed everything I've been reading, of course some more than others. Suit by BB Easton was amazing. I've loved each part of her 44 Chapters series. All We Want by J. Daniels was an emotional ride. I was balling like a baby from that one! The Glue by K. Webster was wonderful, and it was actually my first MMF, which is awesome, considering the new adventure I'm on with PUSH. AND I read my first gay romance, which was cool. I liked it a lot, up until the end, which seemed like it was rushing a little. But still, it was super helpful for me, since I'm breaking into this whole thing.

I have a few more eBooks on my currently reading shelf, and actually a few paperbacks at home I need to dive into.. Plus, Verity just came out so... that needs to happen. Like ASAP. And speaking of Colleen Hoover, she released a sequel to Maybe Someday on Wattpad. I need to read that. That book crushed my windpipe while I was reading it. I'm serious. I. Couldn't. Breathe.

Still, the reading is making me itch to write some more. And I have an unfinished Part 4 to The Midnight City Series called What It Takes that needs an ending. So finish it I shall!

It's written in first person present tense, which is a first for me. To be honest, I became quite fond of first person past tense when writing PUSH, so jumping back into a different style might be confusing for a second.

But basically the story is of a man named JR Walsh; an Irish actor who has been struggling to escape his fucked up past with an endless stream of partying, drinking, drugs and meaningless sex, causing his wife to leave him and take their young daughter.

JR's life is in shambles when his agent recommends a therapist who works with clients in the entertainment industry. When JR meets Dr. Tatiana Warwick, something inside him switches. But is his desire to show her another side of himself strong enough to push past his demons?

This book is sort of a whirlwind of madness, but I've been on this idea for years now, and I had to wait until I was done with all of Andrew & Tessa's story before I could write it. I also can't wait for fans of TMCS to read it, because it contains Easter Eggs... recurring characters, and whatnot. Very exciting!

Also, I will let you know, for anyone actually reading this, Part 2 of TMCS : Never Let Me Go will DEFINITELY be released by the end of the year. The cover is in the works now, I'm getting the formatting ready... And soon you'll get to find out what's next for Andrew & Tessa! Yay! I can't wait!

Well, I'm off for now. I'm getting back to JR for a little bit. He's so brooding and grumpy and sexy... he deserves my full attention ;)

Happy reading!
