Ancient history of the Turks and Caicos Islands, and things to see on your visit

Regular readers will know that I do enjoy exploring the archaeology and prehistory of a lesser known part of the world, looking forward to where my next writing assignment will take us. This week we’re in the Turks and Caicos Islands, which occupy a strategic position in the northern West Indies. They face the Atlantic Ocean just south of the Bahamas, and north of Hispaniola - the island that’s home to the Dominican Republic and Haiti. This position has resulted in a unique culture history.
