Crown of Stars as a trilogy?

When you initially conceived of the Crown of Stars as a trilogy, how did you imagine the events of the story would be divided up by book?

The material that makes up the Crown of Stars series was originally intended to be a trilogy with a sequel trilogy to follow. That's all I remember, and I cannot for the life of me find my original synopsis, if there even was an original synopsis, which I doubt, that would give an actual outline of what I was thinking at the time.
