I've always had to check myself when I conjugate the verbs lay/lie. Oy! It makes me crazy to doubt myself - I am fairly good with grammar - but that verb will not leave me in peace! Ha!

Hi Nadja. One thing that I read that helps make me remember...lay is the past tense of lie, laid is the past tense of lay. LOL. Also, you "lie" yourself and you "lay" something else. (I want to lie down...I want to lay that thing down. I lay down...I laid it down.) Grammar lesson for the day! Hahahahahahahaha.Almost everyone, even those good with grammar, has that one thing that plagues them. Mine is may and might. I have no idea what the difference is when both sound correct in a sentence.
