Product Review: @AdagioTeas Advent Tea Calendar

As with other Advent calendars I’ve used, the best part is being surprised by what you get each day. I would open the calendar and drink whatever tea I got for my teatime each day around 4 pm, so I ended up eating a lot of cookies and pastries with my tea. :)
I’m really impressed with the variety of tea in this calendar. There was everything: plain black tea as well as flavored black tea, oolong, green, flavored green, white, flavored white, rooibos and herbal. I admit I’m not a huge fan of oolong or rooibos, but I ended up liking some of the tea I got despite my bias.

The box had some of my favorites, such as the Genmaicha “popcorn” rice green tea and the Masala Chai.
I also found I really enjoyed the Silver Needle white tea prepared hot. Previously I had only made it as a cold brew iced tea, but prepared hot, it was nicely mild and even a little sweet. It was perfect with a chocolate cookie.

I liked having the opportunity to try teas I hadn’t tried before from Adagio. Since I usually don’t drink oolong tea hot, I especially liked how the different oolong teas in the calendar let me taste the difference between the different types.
All in all, I loved this Advent tea calendar! (And no, it’s not because I had an excuse to eat a lot of cookies and cakes! Really!)
