White Witch and Her Guardians Go Back to Ouray in Wild and Free
Hello my lovelies!
Tony and I are headed to Ouray to visit with our friends Dani, Ian and Mark. They’ve been through a hell of a lot in the last year getting Taboo II off the ground and oh, saving Ouray and the world from that evil wench the Fire Queen. She’s a piece of work, let me tell you! You would be too if you were cursed with the looks of a weasel.
Anywhooo…
I’ve had people ask me what’s going on with the White Witch (Dani) and her Guardians (the wolf shifters, Ian and Mark) now that they’ve vanquished the ancient evil from the magical realms. Well, for the next six weeks, you’ll be able to find out. Each Monday we’ll put up an installment of Wild and Free for you to read for free. There’s a hell of a lot going on in the Switzerland of America. You see, the magical realms just can’t stay away from those pesky humans. Join me now for another sneak peek into their world.

A Holiday Blog Story based on Hearts on Fire
Part 1
Danielle woke up to the sound of her uncle’s voice chastising her mother for insisting everyone be awake at the crack of dawn. She shook her head and smiled. She had spent most of her life without knowing her past or any of her relatives and now she had more than a dozen of them milling about her home and Taboo II. As much as she had longed to be part of a big family, today she would be happy with a few moments of peace and quiet.
“Let her sleep in a bit longer, Aithne. She was up well after two in the morning greeting members of the Court.” Aidan continued to plead with her mother to give her some space. If anyone could get through to her, it would be him. Danielle guessed it didn’t hurt he was the spitting image of her father.
“Is it wrong for me to want to spend as much time with her as possible? I’ve missed out on so much.”
She buried her face in her pillow to stifle her giggles. In many ways, her mother had remained the royal princess of the Seelie Court, expecting to have everyone around her anticipate her every need. In truth, Aithne behaved more like a naïve young woman, unsure of her place in the world. For that reason, Danielle had insisted her mother stay with them through the Solstice. Ian and Mark had agreed. Unfortunately, neither of them could have anticipated how demanding one petite fairy could be.
The glass door that lead out to the deck off the back of their house slid open with a whisper. Mark’s naked frame filled her vision. She tossed the covers back and launched herself into his arms, not wanting to wait for Black Wolf to fully leave him after their run through their mountain property.
He smelled of sweat, soil, and pine and she couldn’t get enough of him.
He tossed her on the bed and buried his head between her thighs. His tongue darted in and out of her as she thrust her hips toward him and writhed on the bed. “Don’t stop, please don’t stop.”
Mark swirled his tongue around her clit and sent her over the edge. She gasped and clutched one of her pillows to her face to quiet her screams. He slid up her body, nipping and kissing until he had her body completely wrapped around his.
She held his gaze as his cock slid home. His muscles rippled and seemed to strain against his skin. Black Wolf joined them as her final orgasm crashed through her body. In her mind she heard the beast howl as he emptied his seed into her. Mark collapsed on top of her, struggling for control as his wolf drifted off to sleep.
She brushed his hair from his forehead and kissed his stubbly chin. “I missed you.”
He chuckled in her ear. “I could tell.”
“I don’t care who is here demanding an audience with the White Witch. As my Guardians, I’m asking that you and Ian take charge and lock me away if you have to. I can’t keep going at this pace. Not if it means we don’t get our alone time.”
Mark kissed her. “Deal. You have to promise to not be pissed when we do it.”
“I promise. I don’t like sleeping in this bed alone.”
“Ian is due back tonight. He’ll make sure both of us stop running ourselves into the ground. We finally have Taboo up and running the way we want. Now we get to reap the benefits.”
A knock on the door had them scrambling for their robes. She padded over the floor in her bunny slippers and turned the lock.
Aidan stood there with a tray with toast and a pot of tea. “I held her off for as long as I could. She insisted I bring this and remind you the Seelie King and Queen will be here this afternoon. Say the word and I can send all of them running for the hills.” His fingertips turned to purple flame and then back to normal in a flash.
She laughed and took the tray. “I just may take you up on that. Give us another half hour and we’ll be ready to rock and roll.”
“Now you’re talking my language, doll face. You two take your time. You’re going to need your strength when you deal with the High Court. Spoiled brats the lot of them, I tell ya!”
Mark joined her at the door and took the tray. “Humans aren’t much better.”
“Hey now!” She smacked his arm.
“I’ll leave the two of you to continue this discussion. Rowan will be here any moment. I’m hoping she can appeal to Aithne, mother to mother. If that doesn’t work, my advice is to steal away to that suite of yours at Taboo.”
She grinned. “You read my mind.”
“Babe, you have an incoming Skype call. I don’t think you want to miss this one.”
Danielle flopped down on the bed next to Mark and hit the answer button. Ian’s smiling caused her heart to skip a beat. “Good morning, darlin’. Ya miss me?”
“More than I can say. How’s Elko?”
Another person joined Ian in front of his camera and she squealed. “Faye!”
“Hey, Boo! Sorry not sorry to be hijacking your time with Ian but I can’t hold it back any longer. You better have my room all ready. Hot Stuff convinced Tony and Lia to let me fly out early to be with you.”
“What? Are you serious?”
“I told you she wouldn’t believe it. This is exactly what you need, darlin. Who else besides Mark and me can bring that smile to your face? You’ve been running on empty since fire season ended. We decided to bring your bestie to you.”
Danielle struggled to hold back her tears. She had nearly broken down talking to Lia the night before and had wondered if she had made a mistake trying to take on running Taboo II and continue with her duties as the White Witch. Her friend had convinced her she was exactly where she needed to be. Fate had placed her on this path and she owed it to herself to see where it all ended up.
“Faye Rae, your room has been ready since the day we moved in. You just pack those bags and get your ass out here. I have so much to show you.”
“We have plenty of time. Tony just told me this morning to plan on being in Colorado through February. We get to have another Wolf Moon ceremony, Boo!”
Ian laughed. “How about we get through Thanksgiving first?”
Danielle clapped her hands. “I can’t wait! I love you both and see you tonight.” She blew multiple kisses to them and signed off. She leaned back against the pillows and grabbed the mug of hot tea Mark had poured for her.
“Surprised?” He snitched a slice of her toast and covered it with the homemade raspberry preserves Jess had sent over the week before.
“I thought Tony wouldn’t be able to make it out until after Thanksgiving. Now Faye will be here early and Tony and Lia will be here for all the holidays. This couldn’t get any better.”
Mark sat up and handed her a small hand carved jewelry box. “Maybe this will convince you otherwise. Don’t worry. It was Ian’s idea to give this to you now.”
She opened the lid and gasped. Three platinum bands were displayed within. Each covered in runes for love, eternity, family and the Goddess. The Celtic knot with another symbol for wolf completed the bands. Another ring for her had a diamond as well as a gem representing Mark and Ian. She traced each one with her fingertips. “These are beautiful. When did the two of you have any time to have these done?”
“Ian had them designed the day he proposed to both of us. We have our rings from our first Wolf Moon ceremony, but these are our wedding rings. We hope you don’t mind, but we thought we should get married under the next Wolf Moon.”
“Perfect. Two years ago, I would never have thought I could be this happy.”
“It’s just the beginning, sweetheart.”
She opened her mind and reached out to include both of them.
“My heart is overflowing thanks to you both. I love you.”
“I love you, too darlin’.” You bring out the best in both of us.”
“My heart has always belonged to both of you. Now we’ll make it official.”
“So mote it be.”
