Interested in traveling with me?

Academic Travel is considering doing an author-led tour with me to France or Spain, a traveling book group where we will retrace the footsteps of either Catherine de Medici, or Isabella of Castile and Juana la Loca. If you're interested, please click on the survey link below and let us know! Your input is most important at this stage, as we gauge interest. Thanks!

Rio (Lynne) Just took the survey. How do you pick Catherine or Isabella?

C.W. Hard choice, I know :) Thanks for doing it, at this point they're just gauging overall interest. Sharon Penman did one of these tours this year and it was quite popular, so they're hoping to do more with other authors. I'll keep you posted if the tour actually does get scheduled.

Orsolya I have to easily pick Juana. I have some biased love for her.

I love how authors are doing these tours (Alison Weir has a whole "company"/website now dedicated to it).

C.W. Thank you, Orsolya! I had no idea Alison Weir had started up a company around tours; I just checked out her website and saw it. I was approached to do this by Academic Travel; looks like it's becoming a phenomenon :)

No problem :) I like her website and her tour packages she has listed. I'm sure yours will be great, as well. I would LOVE to do them all! :D I think these author-sponsored tours are a fab idea!

Stephanie Dray I'd love to do this. I need to sell more books to afford it first ;)
