The Traitor God in Hungary

Hello my Hungarian friends,
The Traitor God will be coming out in a Hungarian language edition on November 23rd. I do wonder how they translated all those inventive swear words...

Terrible Timy Personally I'm not a big fan of Hungarian translations. I prefer to read in English. Congrats getting a Hungarian edition though! :)

Thanks! I totally understand people wanting to read something in the language it was originally written in, as there will inevitably be a lot of idioms and turns of phrase that don't quite translate in the same way.

Exactly! Plus for some reason we love to translate everything. Name translations are a pet peeves of mine. It's so annoying the way they force to fit everything into the language, meh. I tried to read Kings of the Wyld in Hungarian but got annoyed within the first few pages and decided to leave it. I just don't bother anymore.

Not necessarily. We just like to make everything seem Hungarian if we can get away with it... Personally I don't like it when we write names according to Hungarian grammar, but whatever. There are names you can't change, thankfully. For example, in Kings of the Wyld, Gabe had become Gabó (a Hungarian nickname for Gábor which comes from Gabriel I think). Don't ask me why. I have no fucking idea. These are small things, and if someone haven't read the original then won't notice. For me it's annoying.
